Toyota Avalon 2011
The Avalon is Toyota’s flagship sedan, and is also its largest car. The latest Avalon shares many components with its more expensive corporate cousins at Lexus, including the 268 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. More stylish than the models that preceded it, the Avalon rides on a front-wheel drive platform only available as a four-door model.

Standard exterior features include color-keyed foldable mirrors, power trunk and fuel-filler door releases, remote keyless entry, High Solar Energy Absorbing glass, LED taillamps and power tilt and slide glass moonroof. Both Avalon models now ride on 17-inch wheels, wrapped in the same P215/55/R17 tires, but the Limited features unique dual-spoke styling with a “diamond-cut” finish.

The entire interior is filled with premium surfaces and plush leather, available in multiple colors. Optional is Toyota’s latest DVD-based navigation and a 660-watt, 12-speaker JBL audio system. A rear-view monitoring system integrated into the vehicle’s rear-view mirror is standard issue.
Despite a thorough reworking of the Avalon, the newest entry-level Avalon XLS base price will be carried over from the previous year’s price of $32,245. The XLS also gains several new standard features over the previous model, making it a better value at the same price.
