Hyundai Blue-Will calls the concept debuted at the Detroit auto show test bed to show the various new technologies. This is also called-HND 4, alphanumeric name that comes from it is the fourth concept from Hyundai Namyang Design Center.
The design is said to be “eco-sleek,” and includes multiple character lines that playfully intersect along the body sides. The sleekness carries over to the concept’s underbelly, where a full-length tray covers the mechanicals to help reduce aerodynamic drag. Select body panels are rendered in carbon fiber and advanced composites, while recycled plastic is used for the headlamp bezels and bioplastics are employed for various interior and exterior parts.

LED display that’s located on the steering column. Fittingly, the steering wheel is hooked to the front wheels digitally, as the concept features drive-by-wire technology. Touch-screen input is used for the center-stack controls, which include those for the HVAC system, infotainment, and gear selection. There’s also a piece of software onboard called Eco-Coach, which helps drivers monitor fuel consumption and provides feedback for efficient driving techniques.

Such a vehicle—meaning a hybrid-only model—is a definite possibility in the future, according to Hyundai. We’d expect some of the gadgetry to be cut for mass production, although the plug-in option is likely to make it through.
Power from the cells is sent to an auxiliary fan that cools the interior when the vehicle is parked in the sun on a hot day, not unlike the system that’s optional on the current Toyota Prius.

And, given Hyundai’s recent bent toward conquering every automotive segment and its competent recent products, we’d expect such an effort to provide formidable competition to the bestselling Prius
