Buick Lucerne 2011
The Lucerne is Buick’s full-size luxury sedan aimed at the Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon and similarly sized front-wheel drivers. When it was introduced back in 2006, the Lucerne was the first Buick to offer V8 power in a decade. It also marked the beginning of a new design language for the automaker.
Four trim levels are offered CX, CXL, EXL and Super (The Lucerne Super has its own page, which can be found on the navigation bar to the left). All include a comprehensive list of standard equipment, with CX models offering six-way power passenger seat; heated power outside rearview mirrors; an extended-range key fob and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Lucerne buyers have two engines to chose from a 3.9-liter V6 delivering 227 horsepower and 237 lb-ft of torque for the three standard trim level, and a more powerful V8 Cadillac Northstar engine producing 292 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque for the Super.

More standard luxury features are also found on CXL and EXL, including eight-way heated driver and front-passenger seats; power lumbar adjustments; memory settings; heated leather steering wheel and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Active safety and handling features offered on Lucerne include a four-channel anti-lock braking system and traction control; an auto-leveling rear suspension that automatically adjusts the vehicle height for heavy loads; and four-channel StabiliTrak electronic stability control with brake assist, which senses emergency braking situations and boosts the power as needed.
The Comfort & Convenience package adds dual-zone, automatic climate control, universal home remote, Bluetooth phone (available with OnStar) and a cargo net. This package is standard on Lucerne CXL, EXL and Super models and is available on Lucerne CX.
